Four Week Course

Film Studies 101: The Fundamentals

Learn to look at film in a new way through this fundamentals course, providing you with the knowledge and tools to deconstruct the deeper levels of cinema analysis.

Each week we will explore a key fundamental area of film though dedicated Studio 74 screenings, group discussions and visual theory. The four week course will explore; mise en scene, editing techniques, cinematography and framing and finally the effect of sound on audiences.

No previous film knowledge is needed, just a passion for cinema.
